This piece was produced prior to 1925, when it was presented to A Turpin "Watt" by W.C.C. I'm no supersleuth, I know this because its engraved right there on the side! I have tried finding who this A Turpin was and who was the W.C.C that presented this stunning dish as an award. I went right down the rabbit hole for several hours (oops) and have no further knowledge except that it was made by G.F Westwood & Sons Ltd in Birmingham.
It has a bit of wear to the surface, not unexpected after a century of service. But otherwise solid and classically beautiful.
