This is a stunning piece with a fabulous rich swampy greens glaze. It was produced by Cargo Studio Potters, David Ashleigh and Jim Roberts in either Nelson or Lyttelton New Zealand. There is a similar piece, with the addition of a rose, in the Canterbury Museum collection and that piece is dated from 1986. The piece offered here today is marked on the bottom with the AR NZ stamp and is in excellent condition aside from one minor chip hidden behind the front edge of the leaf (as shown in photo).
